What's your worst West Ham memory?
There are many, of course, but for me sitting in a McDonalds car park on a cold and rainy May afternoon in Manchester in 2004, listening to the radio and hearing the Hammers go down and Steve Bruce rejoicing about it ranks high. What an awful day that was.

What a crap day. We were on decent run, expected to beat Coventry and then lose 3-0 at home. There's other debacles I've watched (Luton in league cup semi, Wolves 1-3 at home under Zola).

That relegation season and the last game is up there for me as well, sat on the couch at about 4am, cold, pissing down with rain outside and i had a stinking cold so was feeling like shit anyway, remember the TV coverage in Sydney finished suddenly and the screen cut to some ethnic program that was usually on at that time, turned off the TV and sat there in the dark just feeling so low.

Horrible day.

The 0-3 Luton semi in front of the tv cameras, we'd stuffed Liverpool and done Villa only to put in such a limp wristed performance against those no marks. That shades the 0-6 at boundary park for me by virtue of the fact that I didn't go and listened to the horror unfold on the radio.

I know that radio broadcasts tend to have a few seconds delay, but your radio appears to using a ONE YEAR delay.

The Astra game this year was quite low

The 3-4 against Spurs in 07 was pretty low

but yeah Gerrard was truly heartbreaking, we was literally seconds from the clubs greatest moment in my lifetime.

Even by our standards that was a bad one. I felt empty

Losing on pens to Arsenal in the 97/98FA Cup Quarter Final was a low point for me.

Gerrard!!

Relegation hurts more but that slowly creeps into you and can prepare for it. 2006 though was a smack in the nuts out of nowhere. Can still feel it!

To many to mention at my age but listening on the Radio in various far flung places Oldham and Luton games but in reality coming home from Cardiff and even worse from Brussels in a Lacey's coach after losing 2-4 to Anderlecht,

Re: What's your worst West Ham memory?
Losing at anfield when they put us down. We actually played well first half with Ince dominating the midfield, then MacMahon done him and with that went our hopes! John lyalls last game in charge and a fucking coach ride home. The coach was organised from the Two Puddings, was anyone else here on it? Took a fucking eternity to back! A sorry day indeed.

Re: What's your worst West Ham memory?
Could go back over many games and moments over the years that have hurt, but there was always pride in the club and who we were and what we were about.

So the worst ever for me was the Wolves game under Zola. Happy clappers and free scarves that would have just about fit around the neck of a 3 year old dwarf. A shameful and embarrassing episode orchestrated by Brady in her first attempt to make us into just another club.
